- SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Sales and Marketing, in the predestinated areas identifies and contacts prospective clients, generates sales proposals, and services existing "C" accounts and/or out of town accounts ensuring quality and consistency of service and/or product delivery.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Prepares action plans and schedules to identify and qualify specific targets and follows up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
. Identifies sales prospects and contacts these and other accounts as assigned.
. Establishes rapport and maintains contact with clients designated and potential clients.
. Develops and supervises the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs; prepares for and attends exhibits, conferences, meetings, and other local, regional, and national promotional opportunities.
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
. High energy enthusiastic person for a thirst to learn this field and develop into Sales (Regional Developmental Manager) for Vitran Express Canada Inc.
. Willing to take courses related to their development in the industry.
. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the phone and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.
. Ability to gather data, compiles information, and prepares reports
. Ability to identify and/or follow up sales leads and referrals.
. Knowledge of postal or commercial shipping methods and procedures
