Coordinate all activities required to service customer needs, from taking customer calls, creating orders, arranging carriers, scheduling pick up and delivery appointments, shipment tracing, entering billing details, and other logistics functions as required.
Determine the most cost effective and timely methods for servicing the needs of the customer
Negotiate carrier rates to maximize order profitability.
Report service issues and missed opportunities, on a case by case basis, to Operations Manager / propose and implement solutions to service issues.
Produce reporting specific to customer requests.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in intermodal and highway transport; including pricing, service providers, transit times
- College diploma or University degree in Logistics related field an asset
- Professional & courteous etiquette a must / Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required / ability to multitask
- Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills
- Goal oriented, self motivated, and results driven
- Proficiency in Windows based programs and Microsoft Office
- Bilingual English/French
