Creating orders, tracking and tracing shipments; maintaining complete order history; daily customer reports, and POD analysis
Claims:
Analyze POD’s daily – look for discrepancies in piece counts, and damages. Work with supervisor to File Intent to claim and gather information from customer, carrier and logistics coordinators upon receipt of intent to claim from client. Investigates customer freight claims in a way to minimize company claim liability. Determine if claims are valid based on system notes / carrier POD. Generate Incident Reports, and complete claim package to be forwarded to Vitran Express claims department.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of customer service and claims experience in the transportation or logistics environment.
- Experience in intermodal and highway modes;
- Customer service training an asset, professional & courteous etiquette a must / Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required, attention to detail, ability to multitask.
- Proficiency in Windows based programs and Microsoft Office
- Diploma / Degree in any business discipline or any post secondary education in Logistics related field preferred.
